Howdy folks, I wanted to announce that we have in the works a line of tube boards for the INS-1 Nixie that will plug on to the output of the ArduiNIX either directly or with ribboncable.. This post is to gauge interest as to which one will go to manufacture first. Once we do one, we'll start rolling out the rest of them, and expand to other popular Nixie socket styles. Currently ready to send of to manufacturing are the following: 8 IN-17 Nixies 6 IN-17 Nixies with 4 INS-1 Dots as colons 6 IN-17 Nixies 4 IN-17 Nixies with 2 INS-1 Dots as colons 4 IN-17 Sample pics -

I vote for IN-18 tubes If not, I'll have to do it myself. Are you using Eagle for the layout and are the files available? -Mike

Thanks

The 8 digit is not necessarily a clock, it can be an 8 digit numerical display for a web hit counter, how many times you open the fridge, the number of RobotPirate kits you've ordered, etc.

This would be great! These still in the works? I'd love to do a clock display with the 6/4 board.

I would be interested in several of the 6 Nixie/4 Dot boards if you are planning a production run.

They are in the works as we speak, Jeremy is tracking down a glitch in the conversion from schematic to layers, and once we've got that ironed out, we'll be sending them off to be manufactured. I'll keep you all updated

Could we get a feel for expected date of availability? If it is in the next few weeks or month (or close to that) I'd rather use your boards.

To be honest, we've run into a snag with them, for some reason a couple of our layers out of Eagle are being flipped for some reason when we break it down to the gerber files. We're unsure why, but till we figure that out, these boards are on hold. Any ideas? We could use the help if someone knows what's up with this I'd appreciate it quite a bit.

I did find a FAQ on doing Eagle to Gerber " Make sure when you output your layout to Gerber RS-274-X format that you do not mirror the layers." if your layers are messed up.

This may be hoping beyond hope, but is there a way we could get the eagle files to etch the board in the mean time? I would love to buy one from you guys and I'm sure I still will as soon as they become available, but I'm making a six tube nixie setup for a friend for christmas so I can't wait 5 weeks...
Thanks!

Tell you what, If you don't mind doing a little "in the field" beta testing, I'll send you what you are looking for. Keep in mind, we haven't tested it, so I would hate for you to ruin a project and your relationship to RobotPirate due to an untested product. But if you're willing to live dangerously, then tell me what you want. Six bulb or six bulb with 4 INS-1 colons? I sent you a message. Thanks. B

I am interested in the 4 digit and 6 digit boards with dots. I have an immediate need for a customer for the 4 digit board.
